Is a hand ball/handling of the ball outside of the box (not by a goalkeeper) restarted with a direct or indirect free kick?

Hi Joel,
As my colleagues have stated, this is a direct free kick offence. I have heard of some small-sided games with modified rules for younger players where all free kicks are indirect but this is not usually the case in U-11 games, in my personal experience.

Hi Joel,
Outside of the penalty area, a handling offence by any player (including the goalkeeper - because outside their own PA they're just another player) is punished by a direct free kick.

Deliberate handling by any player including the goalkeeper outside the penalty area is a penal offence punished by a direct free kick restart.
