Question Number: 33607League Specific 8/31/2019RE: Rec Under 8 Paul Walsh of Estero, Florida USA asks...What are the rules for U8 four versus four? Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Paul There can be local Rules of Competition for ULittles and it is a matter of getting those rules locally. In general theses games should follow the USYSA's Development Player Program which can be viewed here https://www.usyouthsoccer.org/assets/1/6/pdi_february_2017.pdf The following principles may apply but some can vary. There should not be any competition Games will be played on small sided pitches. Size 3 ball. Four 10 minute quarters No heading. Unlimited substitutions. No offside No goalkeepers No free kicks and if there are then indirect. No penalty kicks The key is that it is about FUN with limited attention to rules.
