Question Number: 30860

Law 17 - The Corner Kick 10/5/2016

RE: Intermediate Under 14

Phil of Tarzana, CA United States asks...

This question is a follow up to question 30853

Thank you all for your excellent advice. Peter, I'm sorry I was unclear (always seems crystal clear when I'm writing). No, in the second scenario, the ball wasn't rolled out of the corner area until the 2nd attacker was close (about 2 yards away).

I will print out your answers for the other referees & hopefully they will read them.

Answer provided by Referee Gary Voshol

The question isn't when the ball left the arc, but when it was kicked. I think you're saying the teammate moved toward the corner before the kick - all well and good. But the opponent marking him can't get within 10 yards until the kick.

Just clearing it up for our readers.
