Question Number: 30420League Specific 5/16/2016RE: Adult robert carrington of sawbridgeworth, herts england asks...are there any rules stating a minimum time an away premier league team has to arrive before kick off Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Robert Yes this is covered in the Premier League rules Rule L.21 provides that at least 75 minutes before the kick-off, a senior coach and the captain of each participating Club must attend a briefing with the referee and hand to him and their opponents a team sheet. In addition to this there is a requirement for teams to make available players etc for interview from 120 minutes before kick off although that I suspect is rarely enforced. The PL also rules that the referee together with the other match officials, must arrive at the Stadium not less than two hours before the advertised time of kick-off; So clubs are expected to be in the ground a number of hours before kick off and at a minimum 75 minutes. Now outside events such as that experienced by Manchester United @ West Ham will have a bearing on the timing. Teams can be fined £5000 for causing a delay
