Question Number: 29588

League Specific 8/8/2015

RE: Competitive Adult

Ty of London, Hackney United Kingdom asks...

Hi,
as a referee, are you responsible for submitting match scores and scorers? If so, where do i find such information?
My local county is london FA.

I've never had to do it and always been paid and results are always recorded correctly. In my training I wasn't told what to do at the end of the match.

Thanks

Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh

Hi
This is a question you need to ask of those that assign the games. Generally the refere is required to send in a match report which includes the score and any cautions etc in the game.

Answer provided by Referee Gary Voshol

In some areas, referees submit reports online. Others have game sheets that the teams fill out, and they must be completed with the scores, misconduct, etc. and mailed in (in an envelope supplied by the team).

I'm not sure how I first found out about the requirements. I know that there were several times at referee recertification courses where they went over filling them out correctly, because the leagues were complaining.
