Question Number: 29330League Specific 4/19/2015RE: Pro Professional Harry Burns of Macclesfield, Cheshire UK asks...A player who has received 2 suspension periods due to the 5/10 yellow cards totting up process over the season is then sent off for violent conduct and suspended for 3 games. Will he receive any additional suspensions because of these? Answer provided by Referee Richard Dawson Hi Harry, in my opinion likely no. Every misconduct incident is looked at for what it is and punished accordingly. A sending off for VC is in MY OPINION a worse offence than SFP for it signifies no actual play on the ball was possible. If there is an accumulation penalty of yellow cards it generally wipes the slate clean once applied. Previous behaviour could affect how a disciplinary committee might view a consistent pattern of abuse ie Suarez biting incidents which steadily increases in severity of suspensions.

From what I can determine from the FA guidelines he will not receive any additional sanction. I believe that if a sending off was for two cautions with an accumulation of previous cautions that a 2nd game suspension will be sanctioned instead of the normal one game. As it was a straight red the three game is all that is likely.
