This question is a follow up to question 29126

Thanks once again for your comments " this time to my follow up question regarding Senegal v South Africa (29126).

Like so many others, I ask questions so as to better understand the game and how to ref within it, and within your comments, a particular side comment provided by Ref Dawson is a perfect example of why I like this site so much.
His comment that had the ball glanced off one of the offside team mates before crossing the line (and therefore rule out the goal) is something that I could easily missed.

As always, your assessment of elements before and after the main point in question, and not just the main point, have enhanced my knowledge bank on what to have in the back of my mind as to a possible scenario to rule on.
