Yes that would be offside. the only times a player cannot be offside when in an offside position when he receives the ball from a team mate is at a throw in, goal kick or a corner kick. All other times offside applies.

But, there is no offside when a ball is received directly from a goal kick.

The attacking player is guilty of an offside offense if he was in an offside position when the punt occurred. There are only three exceptions to Law 11 (Offside):
1) Throw-Ins
2) Corner Kicks
3) Goal Kicks
