Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Bob Yes that would be offside. the only times a player cannot be offside when in an offside position when he receives the ball from a team mate is at a throw in, goal kick or a corner kick. All other times offside applies.

View Referee Joe McHugh profileAnswer provided by Referee Dennis Wickham Yes. A punt is treated like any other touch or play of the ball by a teammate. But, there is no offside when a ball is received directly from a goal kick.
