Question Number: 27413Law 8 - Start and Restart of Play 5/9/2013RE: competitive Under 9 chris of ogdeb, utah usa asks...after a goal was scored we had the kick off. the player kicked the ball but it went behind the line. what is the correct restart? Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Chris The correct restart is a retake of the kick off. The referee could also consider it trifling if it was barely noticeable and had no effect on play, in which case he allows play to continue.
