On a drop ball how many people may participate from each team?

Hi Bill
The answer is none. The referee simply drops the ball and it is in play when the ball touches the ground. A team can decide to have none or as many players as it wishes.

The laws of the game do not provide any restrictions or requirements on the number of players who can participate at a dropped ball. (Note: high school rules are different.)

When playing by FIFA rules the answer is 0 to however many players are on each side. In full sided soccer, as many as 11 would be allowed to participate but I have never seen more that 2-3 players from each team participate at a dropped ball.
