Question Number: 27032 11/24/2012RE: competitive Under 15 hamza of jeddah, KSA asks...This question is a follow up to question 23759 If a player is blocking the keeper's view during a free kick due to which the keeper is unable to stop the ball, is it a foul ?? Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi It is only an offence if the player is in an offside position in which case it is interfering with an opponent. Generally to block the goalkeeper's view the player in an offside position has to be reasonably close.

It might be impeding the progress of an opponent. If the keeper can't see the ball, his access toward it was also might have been blocked by the attacker.
