Question Number: 26217Law 10 - Method of Scoring 4/23/2012RE: Adult Hamza of Accra, GT.Accra Ghana asks...In a match, team A shot and team B's keeper grabbed and directly kicks it into team A's Net.
In a condition like this, is it considered a goal? Answer provided by Referee Michelle Maloney Assuming the keeper was within his own penalty area when he grabbed the ball and kicked it into the opponents' goal, then yes it is a good goal. The ball was in play, no foul occurred to change that, and the keeper got lucky on his kick.

There is no restriction on a goalkeeper scoring in play from a punt from his own penalty area. Indeed if the goalkeeper can throw the ball the length of the field that would be awarded also.
