Question Number: 25512Law 13 - Free Kicks 9/28/2011RE: Rec Under 13 J. Caesar of Long Beach, CA USA asks...Kicker takes an indirect kick that strikes the referee. Can the kicker play the ball legally, or does it still have to be played by another player? We had this situation come up a week ago, and the referee allowed the double touch. Answer provided by Referee Dennis Wickham The referee should call the double touch infringement. The referee is not 'another player.'
