View Referee Gary Voshol profileAnswer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Ali A player cannot be offside from a goal kick, throw in or a corner kick. The way to remember this is that when the ball leaves the field of play a player cannot be offside directly from the restart.

Since offside is judged only when the ball is touched or played by a teammate, if it happens to touch an opponent before reaching the player, offside is not affected in any way
