Question Number: 25111Law 13 - Free Kicks 6/19/2011RE: Adult javady of Fort Mcmurray, alberta canada asks...my question is can referee give indirect free kick such as danger play or imppiding inside penalty area Answer provided by Referee Jason Wright This is covered by Law 13 - Free kicks. Indirect free kicks can be awarded anywhere on the field (however, an attacking indirect free kick for an offence that occurs inside the goal area will be taken on the edge of the goal area, parallel to the goal line, nearest to where the offence occurrect). Read over this law - it will answer your question as well as all the ins and outs of various scenarios relating to attacking or defensive indirect free kicks inside the penalty area.

The impeding IDFK is very rare as invariable there is now contact between the players which is seen as holding which is a DFK or a penalty. PIADM is the most common IDFK inside the penalty area for the attacking team.
