Question Number: 23212Law 10 - Method of Scoring 4/29/2010RE: Rec Under 13 Tn Parent of Middle, Tn US asks...This question is a follow up to question 23202 Just a note -- we once played a 3x3 tournament that had tournament specific rules like that. Played without a keeper, with a half circle in front of the net. If a player entered the circle, it was a point for the other team. If the ball came to a stop in the circle, the girls had to ask permission from the ref before retrieving the ball. Since all the teams were used to normal rules, it was very interesting watching both attackers & defenders trying to avoid stepping over the line. Answer provided by Referee Michelle Maloney Yes, thank you. It appears to be an anomaly in the 3x3 games which should not be there. It is against the Laws of the Game and is NOT within the modifications allowed for play. Nonetheless, if those are the tournament/league rules, and the team agrees to play by them, hard to argue. Appreciate the feedback.
