Question Number: 21600Other 6/29/2009RE: Rec thru mens div 2 Adult Brian Lewis of Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada asks...This question is a follow up to question 21595 just a followup to the heat issue. In most of our leagues, there is a mandated water break to be initiated as close to halfway through each half (stoppage in play) whenever the temperature is 30 C (86 F) or over. If your leagues do not already have such a directive, you may want to approach them and make the suggestion so that others do not wonder if they should or should not. You can never be too careful with your health, you only have one body.

In many communities, a heat index is published by the news media (which factors humidity and temperature.) An online calculator to determine the heat index (and corresponding athrletics recommendation in the State of Oregon) can be found here:
