Question Number: 21517Law 10 - Method of Scoring 6/9/2009RE: Select Under 16 Jakob O'Meara-Gil of Balnarring Beach, VIC Australia asks...hi mate Recently in a game i decided to shoot directly from the kick off without anyone touching the ball first. The ref called me back and said that it must go forward then back, but i could have sworn i was right on this :) So are you allowed to shoot directly from kick off? thanks, Jakob Answer provided by Referee Steve Montanino Absolutely you can shoot from a kick-off and if you score it counts too!

I am forever dumbfounded at the things some referees invent as part of the game. You got some power if you can score from there should try for NFL field goal duties!
