Question Number: 21473Law 10 - Method of Scoring 6/4/2009RE: over 35 Adult Robert Gishen of Sydney, NSW Australia asks...what happens in the ball hits the ref and crosses the goal line? Answer provided by Referee Gary Voshol It will be either a goal kick, a corner kick or a kickoff. It depends on what part of the goal line the ball crossed and which team blasted it into the referee.

And as such whenever the ball touches us, it is as if it touched the field - in other words, whatever would have occurred if it had been the ground it touched is what will happen next.
