Question Number: 20529

Law 5 - The Referee 11/17/2008

RE: select Under 12

Jay of El Dorado Hills, CA USA asks...

This question is a follow up to question 20508

Thank you all for the great answers. I believe as Chuck F. has mentioned in the past, this goes to a lack of education and training.

I mentioned if I owed the ref an appology only due to his agitation for my players not leaving. I could not even shout due to my surprise on his restart....

Thanks for the great work.

Jay

Answer provided by Referee Keith Contarino

Thanks for the kind words. Unfortunately, a lot of referees are not well versed in the nuances of the Laws. Many believe there must be 1 player and 1 player only from each team at a dropped ball.
