Question Number: 20225Law 8 - Start and Restart of Play 10/12/2008RE: Rec Under 9 Mark of Elkins, WV US asks...If, on a kick off, the player who initially kicks the ball then kicks it a second consecutive time, what is the call? Thank you for your assistance. Answer provided by Referee Keith Contarino If he kicks it a second time before any other player has touched it, this is a second touch and an indirect free kick is awarded to the opponents

View Referee Keith Contarino profileAnswer provided by Referee Richard Dawson Yes as long as the ball was first kicked forward. The second kick is an INDFK from the point it occurs UNLESS the ball was not kicked forward first then it is always retaken. Cheers
