What is required for a kicked ball to be considered a legal score.

It must go fully across the goal line, between the goal posts, and under the crossbar. The team scoring the goal cannot have committed an infraction of the Laws immediately prior to the goal being scored.

In addition, some restarts are indirect free kicks. In that case, the ball must touch at least one other player (of either team, goalkeeper included) before it can score.

A goal may not be scored directly[not touched by another player] from a throw-in, any free kick into your own goal, an indirect free kick into the opponent's goal. In all other cases when the ball completely crosses the goal line, under the crossbar and between the goal posts a goal is scored by the team opposite whose goal mouth has been breached.
