Question Number: 19073Law 1- The Field 5/13/2008RE: Competitive Other Clyde McPhat of Belmar, NJ USA asks...This question is a follow up to question 19055 Chuck,
In answering this question you made reference to artificial turf fields causing problems in the future with the spotting of PK's. I'm at a loss to figure out what you mean. Can you tell me what you were thinking of? Answer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer Yes, think what the wind does to a football lying on an artificial surface... 25-30 knot winds are not uncommon around here and a ball sitting on the penalty mark will just blow off. What happens when a ball will not stay on the penalty mark?
Regards,
