Brad Ahl of Windsor, CO USA asks...

If my son is dribbling the ball towards the opponents goal, can he score a goal, even if his final kick comes within the goal crease, as long as the goalie does not challenge him and take the ball away? This past week he needed one more dribble to get to his strong foot, but thought he couldn't enter the crease, so he kicked with his weak foot and missed the goal.

Brad, this isn't hockey. There is no "crease" on the soccer field. Your son is free to kick the ball from anywhere on the field of play.

Yes he can. Unless there is a league specific rule on this per your son's league.

He can also dribble till he feels the net 'round his ears, then have a go. This technique immensely improves his chance of a goal as well.
