Question Number: 17423Law 12 - Fouls and Misconduct 10/21/2007RE: AYSO Regional Referee Under 13 Gary Davis of Camarillo, CA USA asks...On a deliberate pass-back to the keeper by a member of his own team, an IFK is awarded to the opposing team. Where is the kick to be taken from? At the position of the keeper, the passing kicker, or elsewhere? If the keeper is standing on the goal line when he/she handles the ball I have been told to move the ball out to the 6 yard line for the IFK. Is this correct? Answer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer The point of the restart is where the keeper uses his hands or at the point nearest where he does on the long line of the goal area.
