Question Number: 15435Law 8 - Start and Restart of Play 5/9/2007RE: rec Under 7 Tyler of oshkosh, WI USA asks...If a U6, or U8 player gets injured, do you start with a drop ball like you normally would, or just give the team that had the ball a throw in, or a free kick, assuming that the ball was inplay, and you stopped the game in the middle of play due to the injury. Answer provided by Referee Steve Montanino You would give a dropped ball. If you have stopped play for a reason not listed in the laws of the game (an injury is one of these) then play must be restarted with a dropped ball from the location where the ball was when play was stopped.
