Question Number: 15174Law 10 - Method of Scoring 4/14/2007RE: Rec Adult xabi of afton, wyo usa asks...Can the offensive team Kick in a goal while in the Goal Box (not penalty box) or does it have to be hit with the head or knee, hip etc.? Answer provided by Referee Ben Mueller Yes they can. The ball can be scored with any part of body except for if the player handles the ball deliberatly.

View Referee Ben Mueller profileAnswer provided by Referee Steve Montanino They may use any part of their body to score a goal, even if they are standing withing their opponents goal area. Of course, it goes without saying that they may not use the hands or the arms deliberatly to do this. Nor, may they score if they commit some other foul or infringement (read: offside) prior to their scoring the goal.

It is not one of the things FIFA allow changed for junior and veteran matches but in their infinite wisdom leagues do come up with the most bizarre pronouncements.
