Question Number: 14723Mechanics 1/22/2007Jon of London, UK asks...This question is a follow up to question 14712 He apologised during our end of match and said he had a mind blank. We were all being assessed that day and obviously the assessor was wired into the mics. Unfortunately he failed, but thankfully didnt have an affect on mine. Unfortunately we can't have mind blanks at such crucial moments, especially when such specific advice had been given by two of his 3 assistants. As you said, his game, his decision, his reputation. Answer provided by Referee Richard Dawson While we can have compassion for an honest mind fart by a usually good official the best experiance one can take away here is do not make the same mistake then at least we have a lesson learned!
