Question Number: 14666Character, Attitude and Control 1/5/2007RE: select Under 12 Kellye of Tullahoma, Tennessee USA asks... Sir, I watch games on tv and i notice a lot after the player has comitted a minor foul, kicked the ball out of bounds, or is just next to the ball the stick their hand in the air and look at the referee. Is there a reason for that? Answer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer They are appealing for the referee to rule in their favour. It would be better if the end result was to dry their underarm deodorant because that is more likely to happen.

This does nothing but earn them the immediate displeasure of the referee and after being told to desisit with such behavior, a caution and yellow card if it happens again,
