Question Number: 14349Law 1- The Field 11/3/2006RE: Rec Adult Greg H of Chicago, IL Cook asks...As part of my pre-game inspection, I noticed that the goals were anchored with only the net being held into the ground with stakes, is this legal? Answer provided by Referee Ben Mueller The laws say that goals need to be secured to the ground. Sounds like these goals were not and could pose a safety hazard to the players. Your number 1 job is player safety so my instinct says that the game need be suspended or terminated until goals can be anchored securly.
