when a team gets an own goal who gets the credit

The other team, they get one goal. I write in my book the number of the player who scored it, the time and circle it. I can remember it's an own goal.

Normaly the credit ( if you can call it that ha-ha)goes to the person who made the own goal, but the other team will get the goal in the books.

It may have been simply an issue of tradition, but my understanding of "own goal" credit was that it was given to the player on the scoring team who last touched the ball (before their opponent "helped" it into the goal.)
