Question Number: 13018League Specific 6/12/2006RE: Adult Louise Curran of London, UK asks...Hi,
I work for a Urban TV production company called 'Just Fabulous'. We are producing a football elimination series called "Street Ball Kingz". We put together an adult male 7 a side teams from 12 regions around Britain. In a nutshell it's an urban football series in which 12 regions play against each other to win weekly cash prizes, the winner stays on and the final game sees the winning team walk away with an amazing cash prize and VIP treatment.
Presented by Danny Maddox, we will begin filming the first match on Sun 20th August and each consecutive Sunday following until approx 29th October so, ideally, the Ref needs to be available throughout this period. We will be filming all the matches in London so, again, the Ref needs to be London-based. We are looking for a qualified Referee who has great character and would be happy to be on camera and become an essential part of the series. We want a real "personality".
If you can think of anyone you know that you think would be great and be up for it then please give them my no. and email and ask them to contact me asap.
We will call them to come into the office for a quick chat and screen-test and I will of course call them first for a chat to explain further about the production.
We will be marketing the series soon online and onscreen so individuals can apply to represent their region in this competition, however, at the moment we are looking to cast 1 or 2 Refs.
My mobile no. is 0796 7486 137 and my email: Louise.Curran@justfabulousgroup.com
Thanks for your help, I hope to hear from you soon,
With best wishes,
Louise

Answer provided by Referee Richard Dawson Hi Louise, contact Julian Carosi at http://www.carosi.freeserve.co.uk/corshamreferee/index.htm. He would have a better feel for those in the UK London area who might be willing. Cheers

View Referee Richard Dawson profileAnswer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer Of course some of us might want to apply for a work permit and take up residence there for a bit. Me for instance, I could have my hair coloured to hide the gray, stop having a glass of beer with dinner, get in shape, join the union -- Wait, wait, stop having a pint with dinner, what was I thinking...
You might want to consider a quid pro quo for the advert. Some of us could hook up online and answer questions, we do that you know.
Regards,
