Question Number: 12321Character, Attitude and Control 3/8/2006RE: junior league Under 13 I. Whitehead of oldham, greater manchester England asks...This question is a follow up to question 12196 The results from question 12196 were that the ref reconsidered his actions and did not send in the red card but proceeded with the yellow card. For him to do this he must have known he was in the wrong! He abused his position as the official ref for the game in order to even the odds for his own team. The boy sent off missed out playing the game he loves for no reason other than the opposing manager/ref did not want him scoring lots of goals against them as he had in their previous meeting! To all the refs out there 'You are doing a fantastic job that no-one else wants to do', and to all the cheats out there- 'You're spoiling it for the kids that just want to play, leave the refereeing to those that can be fair!!' Answer provided by Referee Chuck Fleischer Thank You.
