Question Number: 12107Pre-Game 1/27/2006RE: Athena Under 15 Stefan Seville of Marietta, Georgia USA asks...This question is a follow up to question 12095 This is a follow up to #12095 Richard- 1) It was a very constant barrage, the ball never left the box. 2) The infringing player was guilty of 3 offsides in the time I had my flag up. 3) We just dicussed in the pregame to pop once and only once(?). Thank You so much for your help, lads. Answer provided by Referee Richard Dawson We appreciate the feedback and spot on for taking the time to think about the game and improving your understanding and abilities by postgame review!
We are always leery of critizing fellow colleagues because we know that often in most stories there are USUALLY three sides yours, theirs and what really happened! By having walked in the shoes we tread carefully knowing that occassional mistakes in judgement and laws are made. A review and discussion tends to eliminate them in the future IF those involved are willing to consider we can be right or partly wrong and partly right some of the times!
As AR you did your duty as instructed and you saw the results. If YOU were at centre as referee do you feel you would handle it differently? That is an opinion developed by analyzing what you know, what you saw and the experiance of others educating you to possibilities. We wish you well on your journey through the centre circle! Cheers.

Not only by what you are told in training but also by what your center said in his pregame. It is then up to the center to decide what to do. I agree with Richard. Examine how this center acted and decide if you'd act the same or differently. Please feel free to write anytime. keith
