Question Number: 30958Law 4 - The Players Equipment 10/26/2016RE: class 3 Professional Arjun adiga of Banglore, karnataka India asks...as per our laws of the game in soccer any form of jewellery is not permitted for any player inside fop but i found in one of the clips wherein platinum mixed jewellery is worn by neymar. can this be allowed..? or any subjections or justifications? please Answer provided by Referee Joe McHugh Hi Arjun Jewellery is forbidden with no exceptions. Referees do their best to ensure players do not wear jewellery. This is carried out in the pre match inspection of equipment. Now some things can be missed or for that matter a player can put jewellery back on after the inspection. It is certainly not intentional on behalf of the referee to miss it or allow it. I would also point out that some players wear jewellery in the warm up which is not under the referees control and pictures can get taken during that time.
