Question...

A referee awards blue an INDFK from 24 yards out for PIADM . The referee raises his arm to indicate the INDFK but the Red kicker decides to kick the ball directly at the goal. The keeper SCREAMS "Leave it!" (Fully aware as an INDFK it will be a goal kick out once it crosses the goal line) but a defender standing at near post not knowing it was an INDFK can not resist sticking out his arm to stop the ball from entering the goal the ball connects with the hand and deflects over top of the goal. "You dummy !"screams the Keeper, now they get a PK and you get ???

Our Hint

Our Answer...

That was our Question YOUR Answer is...

Raymond a Referee from SAN FRANCISCO CA United States

I'm thinking the defender gets cautioned for UB. The action didn't deny an obvious goal scoring opportunity because the kick was indirect. Thus no sendoff for deliberate handball DOGSO. But given the unsporting nature of the act, which certainly runs counter to the spirit of the game, simply awarding a PK probably isn't enough in this case. I also think that it could work just to award the PK, which is quite a sanction all by itself, but issuing a caution makes more sense to me.

Sal a Referee from CHICAGO IL USA

Yellow card!He did not deny an obvious goal scoring opportunity, because the goal would have been disallowed any way. So he's booked for unsporting behavior.
